*If you require catering between Sept and May we have a local contact who will gladly provide excellent catering services for a reduced fee. Please ask for more details.

OPERATIONAL DATES

  • The property is usually open in May, dependant on environmental conditions, and runs through to mid-November.
  • The property is not available from the 3rd week of June to the 3rd week of August

INDIVIDUALIZED PROGRAMMING

Need some help planning a program...we can help!

There is plenty of potential within the property to create hands-on learning experiences for youth. Depending on your needs, 1 to 3day programs can be arranged. Specialized programs focusing on teamwork, cooperation, communication, trust, etc. can be developed and implemented. As well there are a number of different environmental study areas within the camp, such as the pond, the forest, the river, we have a creek and a swamp area within the forest. The camp itself sits on a flood plain. Both sides of the river have interesting features to explore.

Programs focusing on survival, or camping can be implemented. We have a couple of campsites available for such uses. We have five, six-man tents, camping and cooking equipment available. We have some limited resources on this topic, available from the camp office.

Also a one-hour canoe trip down the river can be arranged depending on number of people involved. This is a route that is used regularly throughout the summer in the camp program. Any other ideas are welcome and we can do our best to work with you to develop a program designed around your needs. We are new in this area and therefore very willing to accommodate any ideas or suggestions you may have.

*note: All programs will be developed with a bad weather alternative. We believe that weather should not dictate the ability to learn or have fun!
